Katy McLean, LMFT

Katy is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She received her master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island. She has worked in residential treatment, as a community-based therapist with children and families who were in crisis, and then transitioned to Anchor Counseling Center after becoming licensed in 2013.

Katy works with children (8 years+), adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She focuses on creating a comfortable and supportive environment to encourage openness and honesty which is needed in order to address issues that present in therapy. Katy works with those struggling with marital/relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma/grief, behavioral issues, and other mental health or life challenges. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches. She strives to help every client feel empowered in their treatment and make healthy changes in their relationships and lives.
