Meta Brewer, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing outpatient therapeutic services at Anchor Counseling. I believe that the best therapeutic relationship is brought about by a joint effort and commitment of both counselor and client. Individuals know themselves better than anyone, and I emphasize a Rogerian and client-centered approach to foster growth and insight into the clients I serve. Together, we will explore Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to better assist with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication needs. Self-care and boundary setting are also my area of expertise.

My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Framingham State University and a Master’s of Education from Cambridge College, minor of Trauma Studies. I obtained my LMHC in September of 2018 and am licensed in both MA and RI. I work with adults primarily, and some couples as well. Over the past 13 years, I have worked for inpatient settings, partial hospitalization program, and outpatient clinics.
