Diana Cavaliere is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT.) She completed her Master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island’s COAMFTE family therapy program in 2012. She has been in the field of mental health for over 12 years. Diana has experience working in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, community, home based agencies, and in office counseling. Diana works with adults and Adolescents struggling with hearing loss, Deafness, Cochlear Implants, chronic medical conditions, sensory problems, vertigo, traumatic brain injury and blindness, depression and anxiety.
Diana spent four years working for a state grant funded program in New Hampshire for the Deaf and Hard of hearing and is trained in working within the Deaf and Hard of hearing mental health field. She is bilingual in American Sign Language, skilled in lip reading and able to work with multi modal communication methods that are sensitive and culturally appropriate. She is trained in working in acute care services and has worked with at risk youth and adults throughout her career. In the summer of 2016 Diana participated in a Window Between Worlds Training in Los Angeles California to become a certified liaison in the Transforming Trauma Through Art program.
Diana integrates a strength based and solution oriented approach in her work with adolescents, adults, couples and families and encourages people to tell their story when they are ready.
