Jeremy Martins, LMHC

Jeremy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Rhode Island. He graduated from Providence College with a M.Ed. in Agency Counseling and a C.G.S. in Advanced Counseling from Rhode Island College.

Having over 15 years experience with children and adolescents in psychiatric inpatient, agency and educational settings, Jeremy has had the opportunity to serve children and families facing adversity, assessing adults requiring crisis stabilization and as a school clinician for students K-12.

Jeremy has an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from multiple treatment models. He promotes a better understanding of the biological perspectives of mental health, while collaborating with his clients to develop a positive therapeutic outcome.

During therapy, Jeremy applies various treatment models including; internal family systems, trauma informed care, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person centered therapy , reality therapy, solution focused and play therapy.

He maintains an environment of safety and trust where his clients improve their skills and strategies to help navigate symptoms and behaviors associated with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD and ASD. Jeremy provides therapy to adults, children, adolescents and families.
