Jessica is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Substance Use Counselor, who earned her Master of Arts in Agency Counseling at Rhode Island College and has joined the Anchor Counseling Center Team. She also had a doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision. Being a dual licensed clinician, Jessica is quite sensitive to the unique needs of individuals who struggle with both mental health and substance related issues. Not only does Jessica specialize in substance use and addictions, she also works with clients to offer individualized treatment; meeting clients where they’re at. Additional specialty areas include Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, managing Grief/Loss, Mood Disorders, among others.
Jessica has over 10 years of experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, managing substance use Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs, in home care, crisis work, as well as providing clinical counseling services in many different settings. Jessica incorporates many different treatment modalities to her counseling aesthetic to provide the best possible outcome for each of her clients. Jessica will typically utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques; however, she has become skilled at implementing techniques from many different modalities depending on her client’s needs.
