Tania Weld is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University and her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Tania is pursuing the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists approved Supervisor designation from the University of Rhode Island. She is currently supervising clinicians who are pursuing their Marriage & Family Therapy license.
Tania has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families for the past six years in a variety of settings, including home, office-based, and residential programs. She has experience treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, conduct disorders, anger management, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), grief/loss, and family issues. Most recently she has provided intensive home-based clinical and crisis intervention services to emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children, who are at imminent risk of hospitalization. These services include working with the children’s families.
Tania utilizes a variety of treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play and Art Therapy, Family Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Tania’s other passion is animals. She is currently the Vice President of a non-profit animal rescue organization that assists elderly and needy people with their pets. Tania is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
