Cayla DiSano, LICSW

Welcome! Cayla offers trauma-informed, affirming counseling to individuals of all genders, ages 18 and up. She practices from a person-centered lens and emphasizes curiosity and collaboration while building client relationships. Cayla’s main areas of expertise include anxiety disorders (OCD, Panic, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Phobias), executive functioning challenges, and issues related to gender and sexuality. She has extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create an inclusive space for clients of all identities and experiences to feel seen and safe to be themselves.

Cayla is trained in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Polyvagal Theory, and integrates neuroscience, exposure work, mindfulness techniques, and size inclusive health principles into her therapy practice. She does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and adapts her counseling to honor each client’s individual needs.

Cayla’s intention as your therapist is to meet you where you’re at and work with you as a teammate. Outside of the office, you’ll likely find her with an iced coffee with her latest book in hand or listening to a Broadway musical soundtrack. She welcomes you to schedule a free consult call or request an appointment with her at Anchor Counseling Center!
