Julie Connolly, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Rhode Island College.

Life can be challenging, and we all need someone who can to listen and understand with empathy, perceptiveness and patience.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages, from young children to adults. I have experience working with families in the Family Court system as well as individuals in residential settings and in-home and community-based trauma focused programs. That experience includes crisis intervention, individuals struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, family and couples relationship challenges as well as individuals struggling with substance use and other addictions.

My therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, and strength based. I strive to build a trusting relationship with my clients and provide a safe and comfortable space for positive change and healing to occur. I am passionate about helping others and encourage sharing thoughts and feelings to facilitate self-awareness. In order to assist clients with achieving their goals, I utilize, but am not limited to Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness. I can also assist with parenting psychoeducation and parenting support.
