Meredith Frost Ingebretsen, LMFT, started her career in the helping field in 2003. In 2011 she graduated from the University of Rhode Island with her master’s degree and went on to become the Clinical Manager of 3 different mental health programs specializing in emergency services, substance abuse and trauma. In 2016 Meredith became an independently licensed practitioner and joined the Anchor Counseling Center family. She now uses her strong background in trauma to connect with younger and older adults who are struggling to overcome their difficult pasts and/or want to build a more peaceful future. She helps clients use their voices, be heard, build self-confidence and build relationship satisfaction by pulling from multiple theories including CBT and DBT, and with a strong emphasis on assertive communication and psycho-education. Daisy, her therapy dog in training, joins sessions on occasion. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment with her, please call the office at 475-9979.
