Meredith Frost is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP) and a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator specializing in anxiety, addiction, depression, self-esteem issues and relationship/interpersonal issues. Meredith started her career in the helping field as a Behavior Specialist working with Developmentally Disabled children and adults. After obtaining her Master’s Degree from University of Rhode Island in 2011 she began working in therapeutic residential homes with teenagers and their families who were struggling with addiction and abuse in a clinical, managerial and then supervisory capacity. She went on to become the Clinical Manager of the Intake and Emergency Services program of a large Rhode Island non-profit agency before she joined Anchor Counseling Center as an independently licensed practitioner in 2016. Using interventions pulled from multiple therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a strong emphasis on building assertive communication, identifying personality priorities and providing psycho-education, Meredith helps couples and individuals learn skills to improve their relationships and overall sense of self.
