Sharon Roberts, LICSW

I have been providing intensive, home-based services to at risk children, adults and families for the past 17 years, so while less intensive office-based counseling is a change for me, my approach remains the same. I see my role as a therapist as a facilitator and helper; to educate, empower, challenge and stimulate my clients’ thinking toward improved insights, problem solving and coping strategies. My goal is to provide a safe space for clients to share their experiences, thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement or prejudice. I am a trauma-informed therapist who also has prior experience as a first responder (law enforcement) and in the military and corporate world. As such, I also have knowledge and insights into these unique cultures. I have worked with clients who have been victimized by or witnessed abuse or violence; suffered from anxiety, depression or other mood disorders; struggled with grief and loss issues; are challenged by neuro-developmental or personality disorders; or are struggling with aging, LGTBQ, relationship or parenting issues. I welcome you to my office and pledge to be an empathic listener. I am grateful and appreciative of my clients’ trust and commitment in engaging my services in seeking a happier, healthier or more productive life.
